... Latvian money. I think we have about $300 worth. We've tried the Paris and Atlanta airports and they won't change it and we've called several banks. Any ideas?? Anybody going to Latvia soon in the Atlanta area that wants to make a change?

Oh! I didn't realize this was in Latvia when I read about it earlier this year! I was in Riga a few months ago, I would have gone here if I knew it was there! Sounds like a fun concept.

Did you eat there? In Singapore? This one in Latvia seems quite cheap - I think the ad said €21 for two courses and a drink - I'm comparing that to Dublin prices...! I don't recall food being served, just drinks from test tubes, ...

Has to be Latvia or Slovakia. Saw somebody's recommendation of Norway/Sweden... the girls bit yes but the beer? Horrible, weak and only cheap if you come from Iceland I'm afraid. Latvia takes it for me!!

I have just interviewed a couple who have cycled from Trieste in northern Italy to Riga in Latvia. They found Slovenia, Hungary, Slovakia, Poland, Lithuania and Latvia all very good value and safe - only problem was trucks on some busy roads in Poland ...

I've been to Canada, Aruba, Bahamas, Dominican Republic, Germany, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Austria, Hungary, Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, and Peru. Only 15 so far, but I'd say a solid 13 of those were done in the last two years ...
