Typhoon Hagupit passes over bloggers

... last two days. Not so big that a noob like me might not be able to ride but big enough to have power. Tomorrow will be even bigger. The typhoon we have been waiting for hit Jeju Island today and should be here tomorrow. - from Seoul/Busan, Korea Rep.

... won't have to worry about the large deposit. Also, maybe you should be looking at places slightly outside/way outside of Seoul. I'm not sure what specifically brings you to Seoul, but if it's just travel, then you might consider another area ...

... into more of a subdued and quiet environment, you can consider staying in the area of Gyeongbok Palace (just north of City Hall and Seoul Station). I stayed at a nice hostel/guesthouse there which I can provide more information on if you are interested.
 
If you visit South Korea, why don't you visit Jebudo?

To get to the DMZ you must go with an organized tour. Most (all?) of them depart from Seoul. I'm not sure how long the bus ride is but from what I've read the tour bus generally leaves around 7:30 or 8:00 am and gets back around 3:00 or 3:30 pm, ...

Younger Koreans smile in public all the time. Just go for a wander down Myeongdong in central Seoul and you'll see hundreds enjoying spending their money at all the cool shops. I can see where the "Do not smile" thing comes from though. ...

A group that I've been a part of for a while is "Adventure Korea." They do DMZ trips a few times a year at a good price if you can get in on it. I think the actual time it takes to get from the border to Seoul averages at about an hour ...

10 days! Do both! Do you have the budget for that? Five days should do you well in each place, I think. I know Seoul is pretty huge, but I'm sure you could get your fill in less than 10 days. How often do you travel to this part of the world? ...
