Hi Mike, Yeah it's to do with the history - when Ireland was one whole country, it was called 'Derry', when Northern Ireland became part of the UK, it became 'Londonderry'. Then, so that it offends no one, they actually refer to it ...

Thanks Kathryn, That was another great post too. My friend Robert said that when you get to Ireland that as I am English I must not say Londonderry as it really annoys the locals. He said to say Derry instead. I don't know if he was pulling my leg or ...

... . And I also love the way the Scottish accent sounds when saying stuff like 'curly wurly' and 'girls', it's so funny! Oh, by saying 'we're all mixed up' is right Kath - Northern Ireland speaks Ulster Scots!!
