check out the ijen trip on java. you stay at a coffee plantation and then do a 3km hike up the ijen volcano to its rim and get a great view of the turquoise volcanic lake......check out my blog entries from indonesia and there should be some photos

You could star from Jakarta, after go to bandung than jogja, bromo dirtectly to bali. But you could star from bali, to java (bromo, jogja, bandung, bogor, jakarta). If you viwsit jogja, let me know cause i live in Jogja. greeting bowo
