TACA does it, but it's awfully convoluted and quite expensive. You fly Roatan to San Pedro Sula on a commuter flight at 10:00, arriving 10:55. Then at 13:00 on regular flights from San Pedro to San Salvador, then to San Jose, Costa Rica and finally ...

Well I just typed it in Google and this place came up: I know that you can usually book diving classes at the last minute, but a rescue one sounds pretty advanced so you'd probably want to book that one beforehand... Here's a bunch of hotels ...

That's a tough question! Have you tried to use the Cubana website? It doesn't appear to offer flights from Roatan, but there are some other destinations you might be able to get to first, and fly from there. Check it out:

Roatan's supposed to have a beach but from what I've heard Utila doesn't. Nicaragua is cheaper and the Corn Islands sounded incredible!
