... due to the fact that they take a week to issue transit visas (we are South African),otherwise it is a short bus trip +-20km through Slovenia from Trieste. We loved Croatia and its Islands and think it is well worth going to especially if you get to sail.

... need to book an organized tour. I think you would find all that you need to know about getting around between cities in Croatia here: But make sure you check out other travel blogs too, some people have hitchhiked and hopped on boats etc. etc. etc.

We went camping for a week in Pula, Croatia and it was the best! It was the most relaxing, beautiful, time I have ever had. And the people were amazing! No one was pushy or tried to rip us off, everyone was great, many that we met spoke English, ...
