... street. They are located right near it. There are no 5 star hotels to my knowledge that are that close to it. I have not stayed in either hotel, but I asked my friend in Shenzhen and she said the Century Plaza Hotel is much nicer. Hope this helps.

... go to Shenzhen by express train T40, it cost something like 231 yuan for hard sleeper. I think it is an overnight train starting from 8pm and arrive at 8:30 arriving Guangzhou, 11:47 arriving Shenzhen. It is clean, AC, hot water supply. Wish you good luck.

try elong, ctrip or travelzen for flights out of HK or better still, from Shenzhen or Guangzhou - they are usually cheaper places to fly from. At the moment elong have heavily discounted flights 85% off in some cases

Well, you can take a ferry to Macau or Zhuhai, does that interest you? How about Shenzhen or Guangzhou? Have you looked into any of those places?

Also don't bother with Shenzhen unless you've got a specific reason to go there. Take a train to Guangzhou instead.
