Learning martial arts

There are quite a few schools in Yunnan, China, particularly Dali and Lijiang. For example up the hill in Dali is a temple where they teach, and just outside Lijiang at Baisha, a guy is starting up a small school teaching tai chi and other martial arts.

Getting around Yunnan is pretty easy these days - there are lots of buses going between Kunming, Dali, Lijiang and Zhongdian. Tiger Leaping Gorge is less than 2 hours away from Lijiang, and if you don't do the 2-3 trek, you can visit in a few ...
