... Canadians that speak French is MUCH lower than those in the East. Quebecers are a very proud and culture driven making a trip to Montreal quite an experience. I would highly recommend it as they are just one more reason Canada has so many distinct flavors.

yes i plan to drive..not all at once, breaking it up over the months, stopping here for a bit and then stopping there for a while.. and montreal is definatly added to my list....ive been wanting to visit montreal for a while, i heard good things.

i did a roadtrip around the U.S. (and part of Canada) in 1996 and went from Maine to Montreal, but for the life of me can't remember much about that portion of it. we probably would've done freeways though. didn't exactly do a lot of planning ...

Ah! Montreal would've been AWESOME, we could've hung out again! Yep, it's in Quebec, it's about 2 hours from my house. Toronto certainly is in Ontario, it's the capital of the province, but not the country.
