Brunei has not much to offer unless you are on a business trip. The town is virtually "DEAD" after 8pm ,no night life at Brunei. Everythings at Brunei are imported,so everythings are expensive and nothing to "see around"

many thanks to all, guys! well, the main problem is that Brunei connects to neighbour places only by near-the-coast roads, so no connection straight from bsb to mulu. so, i'll work my way from kk to miri overland through bsb and fly in and ...

Yeah - Brunei is a country that exists almost entirely on its coast - I don't think you'll find any roads from Mulu into Brunei. So you'll probably need to get back to Kuching and fly from there

There are many other insects in Brunei, yet they are quite harmless: moths and butterflies may reach 20cm across, stick insects up to 25cm are not uncommon, neither are very large beetles, and cicadas may have a 8cm by 3cm body and 15cm wings.

hi, i lived in brunei for 2 years. there is nothing to be afraid of. Never had anything. ofcourse if you go deep in to the jungle then their must be caution

basically I ran out of time so gave up on the idea of getting to Mulu. Once I had climbed Mt Kinabalu and been to Brunei I had 2 days before the flight from Kuching!! I think it should be possible to arrange everything in Miri but Mulu is pretty ...

We are thinking about moving to Brunei to teach for a couple of years. My partner is concerned about the poisonous insects. Has anyone got any info and do we need be concerned about this? Or any idea's where to find info about this?

... a bit harsh - from my understanding a lot of money is spent on the people and giving them a good standard of living. From memory there is no tax in Brunei and many services for free. I still haven't been either although I used to live just next door.
