3 weeks for Xmas and New Years

... most of the way to keep cost down but not 100% sure on our itinerary Thinking maybe Sao Paulo.....Iguazu falls.....Florianopolis......Ilha Grand and Rio for new years Can anyone advise where would be good spot for Christmas? Would love a nice beach ...

Domestic airfares are very high in Brasil. From Rio to Florianopolis, you will probably have to change buses in Sao Paulo. Rio to Sao Paulo is 6 hours. Sao Paulo to Florianopolis is 10 hours. Boa sorte

Getting onto a domestic flight is by far the best option available of getting to Florianopolis from Rio. Have a nice time.

There's not much information about buses, but there are two major airlines that can get you there from Rio. In a car Google maps says it takes 13 hours, so I'm assuming that a bus would take longer than that.
