I want to warn all travellers to avoid using TRANS COPACABANA MEM (or similar initials) out of La Paz because thieves are allowed on the bus before they leave and again as more passengers are taken on board at High Alto (app.30 minutes into the journey) ...

By all means do the floating Uros islands from Puno, which is a miserable town, then hightail it out to Copacabana in Bolivia, and much more attractive place. Be sure to visit Isla del Sol.

... Brazil (3 in Rio), Argentina (Buenos Aires), and Chile and maybe Uruguay: not bad, have good deals. Favourite over all is Stone of a Beach in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) on Copacabana beach. Has a big amazing breakfast, pool, bar, free net, good location etc.
