Punte del Este Travel- please help

... There's also a very cool beach town not far from Mar Del Plata called Pinamar that is very nice to visit too. El Calafate is very cool. I would highly recommend the glacier hiking tour where you actually get to hike out on the Perito Moreno glacier ...

Indeed you will have to go via El Calafate. It's not easy to get from Bariloche to El Calafate. It's at least 16 hours of travel time. You should be able to catch a bus that has decent sleeper seats and do the trip overnight. I'm guessing most ...

... ? We could also fly into to Montevideo but then do we also need to rent a car?? Is it worth it to go-- seems like long trek? We could just cut it out and do Buenos Aires Salta El Calafate I just love the beach and wanted some lounging time...thoughts??

Exploring Patagonia

It'll be tight but doable. The W is AMAZING! The full trek takes about 5 days I think. Be sure to stop also in El Calafate to see the Moreno Glacier, and splurge to go ice hiking on it - it's awesome! Andrea

You would definitely be able to get gear in El Calafate or Ushuaia. I would say Barioche as well though I have not been there. I wouldn't wait until Puerto Natales (entrance to Torres Del Peine) as it will be a lot more expensive. Andrea
