Ive seen it for myself down in Antarctica. There is a seal down in ross island Antarctica that was frozen around 100 years ago. In the last 10 years it has started to slowly defrost... There are allot of other examples but its late and i need go to bed.

We went with Quark on the Shokalskiy, and I'd thoroughly recommend them. It actually wound up a bit cheaper to book through Adventure Associates in Australia than with Quark direct. Unless you're a particularly bad sailor, its worth going on a ...

This photo is probably fom Deception Island, where the water flows from the volcano. The water is about 100 degrees. Every cruise ship that goes to Antarctica goes there for swimming......

When you listen to this it sounds like nothing, but be patient, soon you will hear currents flowing and rushing under the ice in Antarctica. It's peaceful, in a minimalist kind of way. like those cd's....
