Once again we had a lazy morning and as it was stormy and incredibly wet we didn't head out until our hunger decided we must, aka lunchtime. After our fabulous bakery lunch we caught the subway into downtown Manhattan to explore just a few of the classic NY icons, including Twin Towers site and Wall Street.

Wednesday 13th July. Departed Union Station Washington at 10am on the Amtrak train and arrived at Penn Station New York at just after 1pm. Taxi to Washington Square Hotell in Greenwich Village a small boutique hotel in the art deco style.

Guess who just walked in at the Oasis lounge. My brother in law was the first one to notice that Sarah Jessica Parker, Matthew Broadrick, and their kids are all also here as well.
