I managed to lose the football louts in Rotterdam, and reached Hamburg via Amersvoort and Osnabrook a couple of hours later. I found that the Hotel I'd booked was way out of the centre, but decided I couldn't go to Hamburg without going to the Reeperbahn, where the Beatles played in some pretty seedy clubs back in 1960-2. Oh, what a big mistake....
