Our mate Tommy dropped a hint that he worked with someone who had a brother who owned an icefishing business on Lake Erie.... so a few weeks later, we hit him up for it and the icefishing plans were set.
We left Hamilton at 6am with a full car of 5, and drove the one and a half hours to the lake.... only... on the way, we stopped at a mans house who was lending us his fishing gear.
This man was the most generous and hospitible man we have ever come across. Like... ...

... are and the amount of water that continuously goes over them is ridiculous. We spent a while just staring at them, the water is mesmerising. Took some photos and then walked up the road which is so commercialised you wouldn't believe it. It felt like I was in Disneyland! After having ...

The lake is really nice, there is a light breeze, that is a little chilly, and though the towns aren't too populated, they are closer together. They are a lot less touristy than imagined, because of their names( peacock point;hickory beach) and their placement on shore. There are few grocery stores, and the towns have too many houses, with few places to stop. The few places we have rested have been very nice, ...

Ontario day Eleven

It was a long but satisfying day. We biked 93 miles, most with the wind at our back, or a cross breeze. The change of scenery was taken, gratefully, and we are now seeing other crops beside corn and wheat (potatoes, cherry trees, apple trees). The water is a really blue green, really tropical looking. When talking to someone who lives around here, we found out the water is so blue-green and clean becuse of the zebra mussels which ...
