... of the Castle complex and an amazing structure but the Palace and Golden Lane were the more intriguing. The palace was the seat of power of the Bohemian Kings for over 300 years. ... back to the apartment for a while and then split up - the boys to go get Thai massages (yes, another one for Bernard!) and us girls to hi shopping. Unfortunately for us the mainstream shops were closing so we browsed the souvenir shops instead until we met the boys for dinner. ... and dumplings (beef stew and sliced dough) was very tasty but very heavy, James had his first Czech beer and we had a good chat with a Czech and Slovakian couple. We went and visited the Charles bridge which is very impressive with all it's statues but getting across was a nightmare, tourists everywhere! We had a bit of a wander around then crossed back over on the other bridge. The weather changed suddenly and in came thunder and rain! So a perfect time to look in ...
