Today we arrived in the Greek Island of Corfu. It was quite rocky over night and when we arrived in Corfu it was rainy and overcast. Today's tour included the highlights of Corfu and wine tasting. We went to the monastery of the Virgin Mary first. I must admit there were a few times I said a few prayers when I could look out the bus straight down the cliff. I just hoped the driver had done this before as they don't leave any room for error. ... we were back on the bus to continue up the mountain side of Lakones with more stunning views of Paleokastritsa. The next stop was a traditional village of Makrades where we went to a charming taverna and had a traditional Greek appetiser - meze and local wine. ... manual. But Brian left his licence behind, so guess who got the gig as driver? We started well, driving from the main town of Kerkira to Paleostritsa, where we took a boat-ride to the famous caves. The coastline there is so like Broughton! From the rocks and rugged headlands to the blue-green water, we were amazed at the similarities. The place was even inhabited by crusty old fishermen! There was a "blue cave" and indeed the water ...

... heading back to the ship. Let the floor show begin ….lol We wanted to sit where it was shady as it was very hot. Found a café in the middle of the square and sat down. We ordered and then Steve shot over to the pharmacy for some forgotten items. I’m sitting there minding my own business when this HUGE pigeon lands on Steve’s chair and then before I could move to send it away it jumped up on the table and eyeballed me. I let out ...
