... We had
tzatsiki, corfu olives, feta in olive oil, taramasalata, moussaka and finished
off with traditional greek yoghurt with honey and walnuts. When I get home I
will be testing out my new Greek cooking skill.
We have a day on board the ship tomorrow as we are now cruising towards Turkey.
... quite see the latest ship through the trees but as it sailed out with an air of sophistication we recognised the dark blue hulk with red trim. Focusing the binoculars we could now see that it was Cunard's Queen Elizabeth it sailed by so serenely.
Our last night there was a beautiful full moon shimmering on the bay, a perfect end to our holiday.
It's now the morning, we check out at 12.00 and our pick up for the airport is 12.20 so just time for me to close my blog for another ...

Today's port is Kerkira in Corfu which is the second largest of the Greek islands in the Ionian Sea. The ship docked about 2.5 kilometres from the old town so we hopped into a taxi as it was a bit hot to walk the distance. It is a beautiful town with narrow streets and alleyways and lots of shops - especially clothes shops - which gave The Management plenty of places to visit. Of course, she found some clothes to buy while AJG sat outside and people-watched ...
... one direction you could see Greece mainland, another Albania and in the distance Italy. All around the island was the beautiful blue water, such a lovely view. We then hung around in Corfu walking the shopping streets. For dinner a Greek feast, all our favourites souvlaki, dolmade, moussaka, olives, sun dried tomatoes and of course the most amazing baklava either of us has ever tasted. Little sick from over eating, but it was soooo good, just one more piece of baklava, it's only wafer ...
