    ... was the red light district. This remains to this day with a large part of central Amsterdam dedicated to being a candy store for adults. The flag of Amsterdam contains the iconic X X X, however the meaning is the three things that could destroy Amsterdam, namely flood, fire and plague.     ... and at one point the ball was kicked toward the harbor and one of the guys leaped in the air and tried to do a bicycle kick back onto land, but swung and missed as he splashed down into the water. It was hilarious and, of course, his buddies were rolling as well!

    ... all these spots that were new to use, but this is where our mother's grew up. Fascinating time, looking at all these places that were old before Cook landed on our East coast.

    We found a little "pub" with traditional Dutch food, Soup and Croquettes. Yummy meal.

    After the meal, we continued our walk around the city until it was time to catch our train back to Wormer.

It was funny witnessing groups of friends posing for pictures and of course it wasn't long before we spotted a rather strange man - topless, a little drunk and definitely in love with himself.     ... next stop. Our hotel was in the route so we spent the morning waiting and watching the cyclist go by. Then it was time to check out and head to our next destination.
