      ... we finally were close to Innisfail - sort of spoiled the day but still saw a number of lovely waterfalls

      We decided upon a relaxed day today and just soak up some local culture and wildlife. We hired a car for the day and packed up our picnic and headed out in the direction of Port Douglas. It was a beautiful sleepy little town, with its main street lined with little wooden shop fronts selling clothes, souvenirs, hand made items, jewellery etc.

      Further north is Palm Cove with a kilometre of sandy beach and a long jetty where many people enjoy a fish. Various upmarket accommodation places line the other side of the road opposite the beach. We had a delicious lunch overlooking the beach.

      Today we got up early to make out 2 1/2 bus ride to woodleigh ranch. We were all super tired on the way there so most of us slept. It was really in the middle of no where! It was an absolutely beautiful ranch! Family owned and so much history with a beautiful river in the back.       Today has been quite the exhausting day, yet we have done almost nothing but sit down. We had to get up pretty early and meet at 6:30 to get to the airport for our flight.
