    Spacious and very welcoming

This timeshare resort is a classic Hawaiian island resort, with lots of palms and green areas. The buildings are older, but no taller than 3stories. The rooms have been well decorated and the furniture looks fairly new and very comfortable. The staff are very helpful and always happy to help! Love it!

Early start to the day with nine o'clock Mass at St William's Church in Hanalei. The young priest was charismatic, with the church packed to the rafters. His Easter message was that it is easy to be a good person, but we need to go much further and be a compassionate people. He kept referring to Pope Francis as our 'Rockstar Pope'. Everyone laughed …

“What’s wrong with this stuff?” I puff. “It keeps going out before we can get a hit! This is crazy. We have the best weed in the world, and we can’t smoke it! Let’s smoke my regular pot instead.”

“Oh, this is much better,” Pinky smiles.

... of today's blog) while I went to my stand-up paddle board (SUP) lesson. It is a perfect beach for SUP as it is a protected bay with just a few waves breaking a fair way out. It is also a perfect beach for swimming and I have been able to fit in a few really good swims while we have been here. There were only four of us in the SUP class, with the other three being gorgeous bikini-clad teenagers ... I was certainly feeling the odd one out! But they were ...

... over to the memorial which was a very somber experience. The ship still holds almost 1000 seamen that never made it plus some of the survivors have been brought back to be interred in the wreck. Then we went back to shore and caught a bus to the Missouri. I took a short tour of the ship which included the memorabilia from the end of the war ceremony. Then we had a terrible time getting back to find a bus to ...

... the down pour already, it's cliffs are amazing. Now to explore. Still unsure on helicopter ride so see what time we have. Small towns in north area not as resorty compared to poipu. Amazing houses at beach villages on the way up, built on 4metre stilts in one valley all with own bridges crossing the creek. Hate to see it in flood but it really is sooooo lush. Photos attached but unsure what they are as no room to see on ...
