... heat. Later in the evening we went to an LA Lakers game at Staples Centre located in downtown. I've always loved basketball - it's easy to follow, entertaining to watch and incredible to see live. Unfortunately they lost but we did see Ashton Kutcher and Jack Nicholson enjoying the game - our first celebrity sighting. There are a lot of tours of the celeb houses in LA - the area is home to a lot of celebs so it's probably the easiest place to spot them. ...

Callum had arranged some gorgeous flowers and wine for our arrival and the lovely ladies on reception gave us a jar of cookies when they realised we are on honeymoon and waived over $100 worth of parking charges, whoop! ... stocked up on every antinausea treatment possible! Overall we found out that cruise ships are not our thing - we like our space and lots of options for swimming and playing - but we did enjoy a break from homeschooling, cooking and cleaning.
Time to leave the coast and head back inland - next destination Coachella Valley - the desert home of wealthy retirees, Hollywood stars and the rest of the riffraff!!
