... rapid. We became quite cocky as others got soaked whilst we remained dry. And then came the water cannon. $2 well spent for the person who hit us square in the face I'm sure! And after that it went further down hill. But, when its 24 degrees outside you can dry off pretty quickly! So we got back to the room, changed into our swimwear (Sian a lovely bikini, me the same) and went to the Adult only pool. Bliss! It was overcast, but did ...

... is located just south of Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton. Originally inhabited by Native Americans, the first European explorers arrived in 1769. Spanish missionaries under Father Junipero Serra founded Mission San Luis Rey de Francia on a former site of a Luiseņo Indian village on the banks of the San Luis Rey River. In the early 19th century, the introduction of farming and grazing changed the landscape of what would become Oceanside. The area - like all ...

... and two geckos, Woozle and Heffalump. Are you getting the theme? They had an awesome little studio in their backyard that we got the privilege of calling home. We got settled in and showered up before heading to dinner. We went to a sports bar and ate delicious, and huge salads while watching the infamous Seahawks game. Those darn replacement refs. After filling our tummies and having good conversation with our hosts we returned home to get a good nights rest.

Yesterday after a slightly lazy start and a bit of a lie in, arrived at Sea World about 10:30. Sun was blazing but there was a nice cooling breeze. We had bought combined double tickets at Universal Studio so we didn't need to queue just walk straight on in, just in time for the first Shamu (orcas or killer whales) show, it was pretty goof to be honest although kids insisted on sitting near the front in the "soak" zone, so did get a little wet ...

Baja Adventures: Dana Point to La Paz

A travel blog entry by sloboda on Dec 24, 2011

... into the Bay of Santa Maria. A huge desolate bay, with a completely secluded, eleven mile long, white sand beach! There were only 3 other boats anchored here as we crept up closer to them. Next to the beach were towering barren mountains, which shadowed a tiny, and I mean tiny little fishing village beneath. After Sloboda was anchored, we immediately prepared our dinghy to be lowered into the bay so ...
