Today we drove to Tombstone to experience the history of the town. It's a well preserved cowboy town of Wyatt Earp days, not tacky at all. My new home is slowing shaping up. It will take some time. Everyday I am home, I enjoy sitting out on the patio to watch the birds, rabbits, and javelinas who seem to show up around happy hour most days.
Ed played golf today at SaddleBrooke Ranch golf course, about 15 minutes north of Ilene's home. Was paired with 3 guys from Minneapolis area. We had a ball! Almost as much fun as playing with my Michigan crowd. Shot 86, and hit the ball way better than Saturday. Won $1 ...
... to be "stretched out" to fill up 3.5 hours. Driving down was interesting - we had to keep only parking lights for the first three miles to eliminate light pollution. Got home at 11:00 PM. Late for Michiganders still sort of on Eastern Time. Once again, beautiful weather, but close to 40F on the mountain, with winds.
Today we went to Sabino Canyon. Tom, Carole, Dave and myself took the tram up to the top of the mountain and then hiked back three miles. It was a nice hike, the weather was 75 and sunny. I took many pictures. I still havent seen a roadrunner but I did find one in the museum which I took a picture of. We purchased an annual pass for the parks for $80. This ...
