... are filming a video with LL Cool J! I didn't recognise him at first (I am short so didn't have a great view) but Hinesh saw and told me. LL is huge in person and goes on to give a little speech about how he is wanting to give back to the streets and discover new local talent. As he makes his way out he is high fiving the crowd and Hinesh manages to stick his hand out for one. He has a huge grin on his face when he finds me and tells me excitedly that he high fived LL.

... The only disappointing thing about the weather was that the food vendors had shut up shop and apparently when it is warm and sunny there are lots of little businesses that spring up on the side. However we found a little coffee truck in the middle of a tunnel and managed to have one of the few actual lattes served in Manhattan along with rosemary oil shortbread, which was really unusual but yummy. Our next stop was the Chelsea markets, which are famous for a reason. ...

Today we went downtown to the 9/11 memorial and museum. Couldn't get in until 4, so a bit of shopping in nearby department store first. The museum only opened up a week ago, so that was good for us. Spent hours going through it. It is so well done. Got teary a few times. It's still quite incomprehendable. The stories of survivors, the artefacts. There was just so much there.
