Today we knew exactly what we wanted to do....drive Independence Pass!! Sarah and Josh had told us how awesome it was so we just had to find out for ourselves!

Independence Pass is only open in the summer so would be closed soon...if you look it up I'm sure it will show you the route but it basically takes you down through Minturn, then through Leadville (the highest city in ...

We parked up in Avon and walked around for ...

So Theo left few days ago and I try to pile up some energy for the month to come. I will pick my friend Sandy in Chicago and we will go north to Canada before I will stay few days in Montreal to see my friend Wendy and her lovely boys. From them heading back to New York after few hours in Providence.

The one ...

Aspen reminded me a bit of Banff, cute little ski/snowboard town with lots of hikes in the summer.

Unfortunately, I did not realize how high up Aspen is (2400m above sea level) and once we started our hike at Maroon Bells, I felt quite dizzy and tired. Turns out I must have had some sort of altitude sickness at 3000m above sea level... That happened on our hike in Santa Fe as well.. well, now I know :)

I recovered quickly and finished the hike at least...
