We chatted about our travels, how we grew up on a farm and about Townsville where he, Neil, and his wife who arrived to the pool later were from.     ... A short 7 or 8k ramble.

    The track was nearly obscured. Cyclone damage and lack of hikers has made the path difficult to follow. Looks like the closure of Hinchinbrook Island Resort has cut off the usual supply of hikers and possibly maintenance staff. The hike took way too long for the above reasons and we did not leave the anchorage till 2:30pm. A late arrival in Mourilyan Harbour 5pm.

    ... of my life, but one I don't think I'd do again - once is just enough I think. Safety gear removed, guide thanked for essentially not killing me and camera man thanked for filming the whole shebang so that people actually believe I did it, and it was time to chill on the beach and wait for the rest of our travel family to launch themselves out of planes.
