Left Lake Placid this morning - rained all night but had stopped as as we packed up. Headed for Mena Creek to Paronella Park where we will stop tonight. Met up with Greg & Di at Innisfail. Got to ParonellaPark before lunch and unpacked. Weather is very humid. Did the afternoon tour. Just brilliant. What one man can achieve is mind boggling - especially as he had no training in architecture, engineering or building. Jose Paronella was a ...

Spent a good night listening to the creek rushing by. When we get up this morning we notice the water is rising but certainly no issue for us as we are on the high side of the creek. Pack up and on our way by 8.30am in plenty of time to get to Paronella Park which is only 10kms away for the 9am opening. We pull up in the car park and are met by Liam who has our booking form in his hand, he directs us to the office ...

... we were back on the road and heading north again to Ingham. The Ingham Council have set up a RV self contained campsite ( $10- per night) behind the Information Centre and just near the TYTO Wetlands Centre. The Wetlands has 4km of beautiful walking track around it. Unfortunately when I walked around, you couldn't see many of the birds, maybe just wrong time of the day, however the walk itself was very pleasant.

    The camp site was ...
