It was 36 degrees and very humid and sunny weather when I arrived in Noosa, and unfortunately also my hostel here, Halse Lodge Guesthouse, does not have air-condition. But that, and the lack of electrical sockets in the rooms, are the only bad things to say about the place. Halse Lodge was a really nice hostel, and Noosa was a beautiful place with a lovely beach and lots of very expensive shops, restaurants and ...

We then rented another car...originally ordered a "standard" sized car, but was given a smaller car - Golf Hatchback. This is so much more comfortable to drive than the vans and station wagon we've been dealing with! However, it's still tricky driving on the left side of the road. And just to mess us up, this car has the lane signaller/flicker on the left side - just like at ...

I wish I had a bit more time to have explored the town itself and gone up into the national parks and seen some of up there but it was nice to have seen the Everglades and done something different as opposed to walking to viewpoints all of the time! I think I've said my final goodbyes to David for my time out here and I'm currently enroute to rainbow beach, the gateway to Fraser Island! I wonder how this will go.. ...

... one there who had a fractured femur and had had surgery and you could see his long scar. Some had IVs and I saw the animal nurse give medications. She also was feeding a baby koala which was literally the size of mz thumb! They also had incubators too...and vidoes about the animals they had saved and rehabilitated. Loved it!

The next morning we got up at a bright and early 3am (actually not so bright lol) to fly out of Brisbane to the Whitsundays.
