So it has been a while since I have posted WMD's whereabouts. After sailing from Fiji through Vanuatu, then across the Coral Sea to Australia, I left WMD in Mooloolaba on the Sunshine Coast, just north of Brisbane. Annie and I flew back and Greg stayed in Australia. He bought a Ford Falcon for AUD$500 and drove it down through Sydney to Tasmania, then across to Melbourne and up the middle to Darwin then around to Broome and down the coast to Perth. I ...

... Heute ist das Wetter wieder ähnlich wie gestern. Warm aber stürmisch. Gerade sitze ich in einem Internetcafé an der Mooloolaba Esplanade. Siehe unten: Heute Abend fährt mich David nach Brisbane und ich gucke mir mein neues Apartment in Kangaroo Point an. Wenn alles stimmt, dann ziehe ich gleich heute noch ein. I wake up feeling a little hungover and get myself ready. I decide to have breakfast in the attached cafe next to the hostel and order a quick muesli and tea. The muesli turns up and its amazing, like a mound of muesli and yoghurt topped with a fantail of apples and drizzled with honey. Its the most spectacular meusli I have ever seen. The tea is in a pot and I feel a bit fancy. My spoon is metal too and its nice not to eat off of plastic. I wait for the Australia Zoo shuttle ...

... like state, they're always in it. It was so still we thought it was a stuffed toy. In fact for the next two hours we saw no other sign of koala's and began to think of it as a stunt by the park. I took a trip to the Eumundai Markets which are the largest markets (I think) in Australia about 1/2 hour away. Myself and a girl called Pip went. We wandered around for two hours buying various bits and bobs and still didn't see it all. It was fantastic. Some stuff was ...

... in my chair and felt my heart beat rising with pure embarrassment! Elephants, turtles, koala's, kangaroos all hand fed by the kids. We couldn't be ***** to queue and I'm not sure I like the fact that they're not in the wild where they belong but it was a stunning experience. We also saw 2 snakes making out! Hmmm...different! We left the Zoo at 3pm, utterly satisfied and honoured that we had an experience that will ...

... We sank and were immediately on top of a funnel. The tidal surge swung us about until we managed to descend down inside the funnel and pop out at the bottom of the ship in the engine room - now that was different! Here, amidst the cramped space with pipes and valves, we started to see fish silhouetted in the blue light coming from the panels cut in the side of the ship. We moved along passageways and through gaps in the great ship's interior, the big shoals of fish ...

The hike also afforded us views of the most famous of all Noosa surf breaks which was a hive of activity as all kinds of wave starved longboarders from the festival pounced on every ripple with unmatched hot dogging skills.
