With a lot of coaxing and hand holding mum is in the water and enjoying it. It's so lovely to see and she's definitely benefitting from being in Barbados again. It's like having my mum back.

We wile away the afternoon, sometimes in the water and sometimes on beach. More beer, food and ice creams and it's time to head home.

Everyone is pretty wiped out so mum, Omara and Phil decide to stay home while ...

DAY 46 ….. March 3rd ……. Bridgetown, Barbados

We had toured the whole island on a previous visit but never spent time in the Capital ... so as it was Sunday and there was 'no traffic' we took the opportunity to stroll around …. and had a most enjoyable time.

... little before any of it would come out of the bottle. It was like a beer-flavoured ice pop! However, it didn't take long to melt in the tropical sunshine, and we enjoyed it so much we had a second bottle! We then decided to take a slow amble back to the ship (after first visiting the loos in the bus station).

When we arrived back at the harbour about half an hour later we noticed that the bar there was doing a roaring trade from the cruise ...

... I hate planning. I like my trips to be relaxed and without rules. Ok, the only rules being my vacation, my rules. So my tentative plan was to visit Galway, Cork and Killarny. Any specifics were to be figured out when I was there.
