    ... huge waves. Chase, with his healing MCL sprain, hit the waves and was immediately turned over. He came up for a breath (see picture) and then was rocked again. he came out of the water limping as his knee was twisted in the water. Ala tried to ride a wave but was not successful.     The day started out with breakfast in the hotel Vanderbilt Grace. The house was originally built by Alfred Vanderbilt for his mistress. Then it was converted to a YMCA for years until it was converted to a Boutique hotel that we stayed at with 33 rooms. We had the same waitress, Laura, that we had yesterday. She is a student at U of Rhode Island. Another good meal, checked out and drove to the Providence Airport getting there by 10 am. ...

    ... that we realized. Driving the length of it, I don't think I saw a chain store like Wal-Mart or even McDonalds. Oh, but the restaurants are plentiful and the lobster is good! We tried our first lobster roll and I think it is a new favorite of mine! We really enjoyed it. We had it several ways as well as fish and shrimp. No clams for me, but Dan had them.

    ... in Nantucket was good but not perfect. However he had read about the Sparrow Cafe and the coffee lived up to its reputation.

    We are definitely an Atlantic Beach type of family and had a great day at Nauseat Beach. The surf was huge and the waves were taller than James. Needless to say the kids were in for hours. As always different ways of tackling waves 'Dive' 'Mushroom' 'Full Breach' ...

    ... announced it was a fine old tradition that he bought ice cream for everybody whilst on holiday. Not wanting to spoil a tradition we set off in search  of a vendor, only to drive down freezer street ( I'm not making this up) and find the ice cream shop with around forty different flavours.
