We took to the trails and enjoyed an easy walk on The Spirit Trail and then the Panorama Trail to The Chief Viewing Platform. ... just ended in the same result as me. Still on the first rock. I mean it was great to kill a little time before it got dark but doesn't do much for your confidence. We felt a little deflated not being able to achieve a simple run across a log to a rock. A. The log was pretty thin but super bouncy B. It was very windy. So yes, we failed. ... the back. Then when we turned onto the Lions Gate Bridge, we all literally pointed and screamed at the same time. The sky was unbelievable! So orange and red! Nothing like I had EVER seen. That was a nice moment! So we drove around, parked at the water front and walked around there for a while, then we drove up around Gastown and of course along East Hastings Street for some fun views, then had to find somewhere for dinner then somewhere to park the van. ... a girl got punched in the face by a guy and that's only what I've heard. There are gangs here that come in for this long weekend and cause trouble. It's the only weekend where everyone in Whistler goes into hiding. It's the only weekend when people have been shot or stabbed. I already hate it. ... after Whistler, I met my cousin in Fernie and we roadtripped in her awesome van to the states. I hadn’t seen her in many years as she moved to Canada so it was great to catch up!
