After our breakfast we wander out to the base of the nearby Yosetimee Falls, it's not far but an easy walk and it's busy with lots do tourists, the scenery is just awe inspiring, but, as it's summer there is no water cascading down, but, you can imagine what it would be like in spring time. ... lake which we decided to stop and take a dip to cool off! Outside of the park we drove through Lee Vining and found Bodies BBQ restaurant so we stopped in and tried a delicious pulled pork and beef sandwich. From there we could see a huge forest fire in the distance, pretty spectacular lighting up the horizon. We drove the final short trip to Mammoth Lakes where we were staying for two nights. We like staying for more than one night because ...

... as my feet entered the water, the icy cool temperature sent a shiver through my body. I really wanted to swim, but it was freezing and I was no longer hot. I finally mustered the courage to jump in. It was so cold that the second my head was under water I immediately wanted out. It was not refreshing; it felt like needles puncturing every pore of my skin. I raced back to shore. Mike, who would love to be in a Polar Bear Swim Club, was laughing hysterically. He jumped in ...
