    ... yep, I did have fries with it!!!! And they sold beer and wine too! Along the way we allowed Greg to take an exit to a car and tractor museum which turned out to be quite a gem, with over 250 cars and dozens of cars, tractors, motorbikes, outboards and any other old stuff you could imagine! Needless to say we had to drag him out some time later, but it was typical of the museums we have seen everywhere we have been and I spent some time chatting to one of the caretakers ...

    ... from Illinois, through Iowa into Minnesota in our longest drive yet--432 miles. Tomorrow, we're continuing through Minnesota into South-Dakota. The hotel we're staying in is a typical highway motel. It has a sign saying that "bikers are welcome".     This morning we hit the road by 10:00, for a day on the road. Driving for a day doesn't seem bad when you're in the RV because we can walk around, and do things. We don't have to stop for the "bathroom" or if we need to make a drink / coffee.. You just get right on up and do it. It is a bit tricky when it comes to navigating around corners if you're not expecting them, but it makes for a fun trip! :) We drove all ...

    started the 2nd day at 6:15am ended at about 650 miles in Worthington, MN about 12 hours on the road. the day started cool at about 50 degrees when you factor in the air while moving you can imagine it was alot colder on the bike. the weather was very nice altough cool most of the day.     ... calm, the sun cast a beautiful pink glow on the clouds, and the water reflected hues of gray, black, rose, and blue. Very peaceful. By the time we got back to the dock the water was inky black beneath us.
