    ... stated, probably not the best ride for Zoe to get her thrill ride boots wet on. Boy was it fun, and the ups and downs were really felt but by no means very scary... That was to come much later in the day.

    We then met uo with Zac and Shell and Kids who we stayed with in Darwin. It was good to catch up, but we had rides to attend and a lot of rides we did attend. We headed for the Looney Tunes kids zone for the littleuns in the morning to ride ...

    ... 28 days, we are then advised to move down the road approx half a mile where we can stay overnight as it is out of the jurisdiction! . Thing we should have done, Drove off when they where processing the other couple nobody else woke up!! To polite! When we moved we met the other couple young French couple they had not put the amount of the fine on their notice which was clearly a mistake, approx one hour later they came back by now ...

    It was sad to say goodbye to this little bit of paradise called Broken Head but we headed 10min north to Byron Bay to wander around town. A great place to look through shops, grab a bite at cafes and head down the beach. Town was a little overloaded with tourists though, like us and a lot of backpackers. Down the beach we came across, apart from the backpackers, Surf Life Saving Nippers. The boys kept asking "Do they have to wear those stupid hats?" ...

    We spent the day at surfers with the friends we are stopping with. It was my first time, however, Charly had been here before and had pre warned me!

    The beach is lovely, white and stretches on for miles. The water is a lovely turquoise with rolling waves. I can see why it is so popular with tourists and locals alike.
