          Day 48 – Maroochydore

We have 6 nights at Maroochydore so we are settling in to
holiday mode instead travel mode. After breakfast we all lazed around, read and
played a few games before we had visitors.

Vickie went to school with Bronwyn and has remained close
ever since. Bron, her husband Kevin and their three little children live in
          Nambour which is ...

... through the rainforest to see the giant fig trees that are like alien creatures as they start off from a seed dropped onto an existing tree. Their creepers then drop down and grow so much they eventually strangle the host tree and it dies, leaving the giant fig tree in its place! The road (initially) wasn’t that much thinner than the Bruce Highway we just turned off so I wasn’t too worried – that was until we hit a sign that said “road narrows”! Oh god, here we go, I was now trying not to pee my pants and ...

... took us about 2 hours to make it to Harry's Hut, our campsite for the next 2 nights. All of the tents are set up for us with enough food and water to last us. The only issue is trying to get 16 people to agree on what meals we have when. Most people agree but there are a few difficult people. After the organisation is done everyone goes to the water for a swim. It is a bit unnerving that there are signs saying that Bull Sharks are common here, especially with the ...

"You got a friend in me"

A travel blog entry by cjane on Feb 16, 2015

So the tourist things are running out but the friends are running in :) Or something.

When room hunting I met a guy called Mariano and his house mates Carrie and David, a couple from England. Birmingham or Manchester, I can't remember. They were really nice but the room was only available for 10 days so not ideal for me. Anyway, I met up with them and their other flatmate Meegan a couple of weeks ago and we went to Buderim Falls and had Thai food :) And I have ...
