    ... looks like the Queensland we expect.

    We had hoped to get into a caravan park at Alexandra Headlands that a few friends highly recommend, but alas it was booked out. We instead got into a lovely park right on Maroochy Beach. It is only about 2km to Sunshine plaza to the north and 4km to Mooloolaba to the south and we only have to walk out the back of the park to the beach.

    So last night we drove to the Novotel Airport Hotel in Brisbane, through the storm, and after I'd removed 4 kg of clothes from my suitcase. My suitcase now weighed less than Glen's - 19 kg. we won't mention that I had a separate bag for makeup, skin care and hair essentials.     ... of the track. After further investigation we are pretty positive it was a brown snake, which are considered the most venomous in this region. We were tired out from the full day of exercise so we took it really slow all the way back to camp.     ... I am slowly changing colour. I am now not translucent.

    Finally for now. I have a job! I start tomorrow. It is not the kind of job I would have done in Scotland but i will give it a go. I am going door to door telling people about charities and hoping some of them might want to donate. Yeh, I'm going to be that person... Oh well, it was at the point where that saying "beggars can't be choosers" was very apt. Wrong time of year for places to be hiring.
