      We started the morning exploring the east face of Steamboat to find the most spectacular views and some beautifully pitched runs. These new demo skis are the real deal. Love them, and decided not to switch them for our third and final day tomorrow. They make everything easy and quick to bail out of trouble in tough stuff.       ... eating at CV Bistro after walking from my hotel on the bike path. I am only a few blocks into the town and am very impressed.

      I noticed from the Laramie to Steamboat ride much change. The sign welcoming me to Colorado said "Welcome to Colorful Colorado" -- a nice play on words for the Spanish. ...

      ... Prepping to Ride video, note that the cowboy doesn't even get out of the gate until 1:10 and he stays on for approximately one second. However, Magic Swing, the bull featured in the video, is quite the athlete and threw everybody who attempted to ride him.

      ... down "Why Not?" yet again - such a nice run. I went to Christy's to return my skis, and then we sat by the fire pit for a bit. We had reservations at Cafe Diva at 5:30pm - a special dinner for the February birthdays!! (Kelly 2/13, Chance 2/20, Dawn 2/26).       ... had never seen snow like it. We had a lot of fun doing runs down the backside of the mountain, practicing our riding switch (that's your unpreferred foot first) and doing jumps. It was so cold that your neck warmer and any other material out in the weather would freeze solid. Mike was having trouble with his camelbak, it was frozen solid.
