      - Woke up at 8:30

      - Realized there was still so much to do

      - Went to the Yampa River Core Trail to jog again

      -Got so full that i couldnt go anywhere so i went to the motel room and fell asleep

      The clerk at the Straight-line fly fishing store told me where to go for some fishing and Reilly and I headed out. Woo hoo! I fished on the Yampa and Elk Rivers with a hopper/dropper combination and did well catching some beautiful rainbow trout which I released.

      Would I come back to Steamboat Springs? Yes! I highly recommend it for a vacation destination. Now it is time to move to Maybell. Where the hell is Maybell?

      ... traffic drenched me in their rooster tail spray.

      The temperatures dropped to mid 50's, lightning crackled overhead, and I began to feel unsafe and concerned about hydroplaning. Especially climbing to 9,400 ft to cross Rabbit Ears Pass & over 10,000 ft over Cameron Pass.

      So, I called Sal, she authorized a hotel night and I consulted Trip Advisor to find The Nordic Lodge. The rooms are clean, ...

      ... her. We talked for a while, but the delay made it difficult so we hung up so she could call her brother and grandparents (which they enjoyed!)

      Took it easy this morning - finally got out of the condo about 10am. Headed to get our ski equipment at Christy's by the lifts. The Gondola area was quite busy - long lines to get on the gondola. Lots of decor around attributing to the "50 Year Celebration" of the Steamboat ski area. ...

      ... with a fireplace in front of the windows. I can stay here for a while. This evening will be spent at the outdoor pool and spa. Large snowflakes are falling upon us as we sit in the salt-water hot tub drinking a glass of wine. The steam is rising from the pool creating a mystical illusion. The pine trees around the pool are laden with heavy snow and lights. Heaven.
