Am Dienstag, 13.10. um 6.30, kamen wir endlich an in Auckland und wurden von Marc abgeholt. Nachdem er uns in seiner Einrichtung zum Fruehstueck eingeladen hatte, musste ich mich hinlegen, da ich inzwischen Fieber bekommen hatte. Basti ging los und kaufte uns ein paar Sachen ein. Es war nun erstmal auskurieren angesagt.
Da die Leiter der Einrichtung noch in Australien waren, gab Marc uns einfach ein Bett in einem leeren Zimmer. Das war ein ...

... shops around there and then we move on to rotorua which isnt too far away. Nothing here is far because the country is so small so when we get lost we havent gone too far off track which is good!

We heard there was nothing to do in Greymouth as it was so small and quiet but there was one tour that caught all of our eyes...a brewery tour of Monteiths brewery! I arrived at Auckland airport at about 5:15pm on 12th June and my uncle Stuart who i havent seen in over 15 years was there to greet me and take me up to stay on the property up in Helensville. When i first arrived it didnt feel like a different country or feel like i was coming home, the only difference i noticed in the dark was the speed limit signs lol that was it!

After that, I wasn't quite up in time for my 7am bus the next morning, so another day in Christchurch took me & my Christchurch buddies canoeing down the river Avon (yep, also named after the river Avon back in England!). My next bus took me via Kaikoru (home of the Whales) up to Picton ...

... you dorks! I mean, that's great and all, but take it easy... anyways, Mercedes and Paula gave me their emails and now I have 2 great people to visit in Buenos Aires... Okay, I admit I am a bit drunk and just enjoyed a late night Kabab and am ready for bed. Tomorrow night I plan to connect with some local couch surfers to celebrate the 1 million-th member on Couchsurfing.com! Good night!
