Bankside is located a couple of blocks from Queens Street shopping and Britomart. The room was clean and the kitchen had the necessary supplies except a frying pan.
All rooms have a small balcony. We were on the 4th floor and had a view of the neighboring businesses. No complaints. I didn't request a great view. Manager was cordial and willing to help.

Alas, tonight we are flying home. Today we walked to the sky tower and checked out the views from the top. There were people bungy jumping (see pic). Only in NZ!

After, we walked down Queen Street, a cool shopping area, to the Ferry Building and wharf. The whole area is bustling with people, shopping, sightseeing and sipping coffee at the …

Today we returned the campervan and flew from Christchurch to Auckland. I have to say, I was sad to turn in the van. I may not want to sleep in it all the time but it sure was fun.

Tonite is our last night in New Zealand. The time flew by. We still have plans for tomorrow. Our flight
doesn't leave till 11 pm so we're going to visit the …

A great way to begin my trip :) 9. The Sir Edmund Hillary Alpine centre by Mt Cook, and learning about the first man to climb Everest. 8. Australia Day in Sydney! Lots of fun street parties and boat parades, free hotdogs, Aussie tattoos and possibly the best fireworks show ...

The Sky Tower is an observation and telecommunications tower. It is 328 meters high which makes it the tallest free-standing structure in the Southern Hemisphere. Its construction started in 1994 and the tower was completed in 1997. The ...

... guys in LA waiting for me want to go to Knott's Berry Farm when I land instead of our planned 13th March due to some changes with when they need to be back. I'm not sure how I'll cope with 6 hours at a theme park after a 12 hour flight. Chances are I'm not going to sleep while I'm on the plane and I've already been up since early this morning. Sleeping pills have been suggested ...
