Bankside is located a couple of blocks from Queens Street shopping and Britomart. The room was clean and the kitchen had the necessary supplies except a frying pan.
All rooms have a small balcony. We were on the 4th floor and had a view of the neighboring businesses. No complaints. I didn't request a great view. Manager was cordial and willing to help.

It was after 3pm when we finished Zorbing and we headed to our bed and breakfast to check in. On our way, we came across a double rainbow over Lake Rotorua and stopped to snap some pictures (see below). We were both in awe.

When we arrived at the B&B, we were greeted with hugs and handshakes by the owners, Liz and David, and shown to our room. They were typically friendly kiwis that bought the lakefront ...

Thanks to bike-wizard extraordinaire Tim Mills and the crew at Avanti Plus Mount Maunganui for getting the new mean machine as mean as it can be, with a personal guarantee of a 5kph average increase on the new Corsa DR over my old Specialised step-through ladies' shopper! Cheers Tim! Can highly recommend his luxury airport shuttle service for bikes and bags to the ...

... for our NZ trip and questioned why we didn't go for a campervan.... Our thoughts were it'd be too cold... "Nonsense" he said, so that planted a thought in our minds. On the second day in Auckland we made our way to the Sky Tower. This is a tower that towers up into the sky. Our tickets gained us access to the 51st and 56th floors from which the views were fantastic. We had a 360 degree panoramic that must rival many equivalent buildings across the globe. The tower itself ...
