... to work. Hospitality industry is extremely competitive and poorly paid. Tipping is the expected courtesy, with some some bills indicating what 15 or 20 percentage would equal. One porter remained at our door after I had thanked him, not realising that he expected a tip. Will need to be better organised next time. Afternoon spent exploring Hanalei Bay. ... were still very polite to me. I couldn't get over the amount of money that was spent, there were a lot of Australians catching a cruise ship home so they didn't have to worry about weight and the Asian folk really know how to shop, any way some good news I found a K-mart and felt a bit more at home. K-mart was interesting they sold stoves, fridges, washing machines, grog and they have a chemist in store, again I didn't buy anything.
