No relief yet from the blah weather so it's the perfect time for touring the local area. First stop is the Cabot Cheese warehouse. We had the chance to taste test from a choice of 20 different flavours of cheese, maple products and jams. The personal favourites that are coming back home: horseradish cheddar, habanero cheddar, colby jack, and a …

Today we arrived at The Village Green at Stowe (RCI condo) in Stowe. Not the usual spot you would find the Falana-Leduc on vacation since it's Stowe and we are NOT winter folks but Stowe has had a special spot in our family even before the children. Larissa and I will take in the local events and enjoy the pool and hot tub at the resort. Looking forward to a relaxing week but missing JC.

... with a full on 'monster truck' just sitting there beside the barn…perhaps the answer to our question!

We ventured on, missing turnoffs here and there, but nevertheless made it back to the highway and into Montpelier at around 4pm. Our host met us and we settled in before hitting the town for an early dinner and wander around. Montpelier is a lovely city. It has a French-Canadian influence which was immediately evident in ...

87 degree temps does not encourage fall colors! However, a stop at Ben @ Jerry's eased the warm day. Crossed from VT to NY via Lake Champlain ferry ($23). Ausable Chasm was worth the stop...and provided a scenic hike. Colorful trees amidst interesting layers of rock were amazing! Staying at Black Bear Camping in NY for 3 nights allowed us to explore the area. Even tho we missed our scheduled West Point tour......got ...
