... see the Southern Dalmatian coast, between Split and Dubrovnik, what's left for my solo trip is the Northern part with pretty cities and big national parks. The first stop, 2 hours of bus away from Split by an superb coastal road, is the little town of Šibenik.

Despite its proximity to the former Roman colony, Šibenik looks very different. First it's very small, then outside of high season it's much quieter than Split. Above all it's got a ...

We left Pag and its banging bass music on the Saturday and travelled down the Dalmatian coastline towards Split and Krke National Park. Stunning, beautiful and remote in many places too. Well worth a visit - particularly the waterfalls at Krke. Was fun to do some revelling but also nice to be back to the quiet life :)

... with beautiful old buildings and ruins, very interesting (even for someone who is very uninterested in architecture stuff). We stumbled upon a fresh fish market and chose a couple of good lookin fish to cook up for dinner later and headed back to our apartment. Then Simon gutted the fish (which was pretty gross but kinda fascinating. One of them had a tiny little fish in its stomach that it had obviously just eaten. ...
