    ... our water tank had been emptied into the engine bay! The remainder of the day was spent pumping out the water, replacing the hose (see pic) in Kas marina, and re-filling our water tank. Another lesson learned - always turn off the tap to the shower hose and the water pump when not in use.

    Other minor disasters was our anchoring. The process here is the anchor stern-to the shore with a shore line to stop the boat swinging. To put it politely ...

    ... we felt it sensible to "park off". Sticking to the back roads and keeping as close to the lake as possible in hope of finding something led us to Dalyan. Dalyan is famed for its tourist attractions most of which are reached by boat taxis.


    The turtles at the river mouth, the mudbaths and the Kaunos archaeological site being some of the more popular stop overs if one takes a day tour.

    No campsites were obvious ...

    ... pride. Wow, these people work hard during the season. Evidently in winter close most of the businesses and ”catch up”. One young girl told us – she catches up on sleep first and then with her family and friends. Another fellow comes here from Armenia each year, for the summer. He said they are Kurdish and very poor. He’s been a waiter in TurunÁ for many years. He comes in April and stays until October. His boss – ...

    We walked down to the restaurant and were intrigued by the containers of water at every bend. Water - to bus used in the event of a fire!

    Our walk took us along the sea front at dusk - so picturesque but a huge new hotel may have an impact. Unfortunately the road is too narrow to safely walk back, at night. This meant we said no to the deserts!

But they all have to do another lap on their slicks and after they've all pitted it's Lewis holding a commanding six second lead, which he gradually stretches out to over ten seconds and wins his third British Grand Prix in fine style. Nico comes in second with Seb in third after passing his team mate and both of the Williams cars by pitting on the same lap as Lewis. Fantastic, Lewis now leads the championship by seventeen points again! ...
