... hiking trails. We didn't get to meet up with Erin from Sebastopol, but we made friends with two couples; one was from the UK and the other two were a Canadian and an Aussie, looking to possibly settle in back in Australia. We all took a cool hike along the coast and up through the coastal hills and then hung out on the beach for the rest of the afternoon. The next day, four of us rented ...
Noosa, Queensland, Australia joshandtara... as soon as they'd got in and would grab a quick shower and come find us. So we had a good night chatting and rating all the locals on the karaoke, with all the girls trying to get me to sing. I know it should be in the blood being a Valleys boy from the Heart of Wales but I think the singing gene skipped me so said I'd rather streak through the surf club than get up and sing but thankfully they didn't take me up on this offer. The T-shirt sun tan stayed covered :)

... 2.50 pounds (do not have pound signs on these computers) that was really good but they played 80's love songs all evening so we went right to bed didnt really get us in the mood for a party!
Today we went to the Australian Zoo which if you dont know is Steve Irwin's zoo - the guy who died from a sting ray. His zoo was really big so many parts to it and i stroked a Kangaroo (did feel a bit guilty as i had ate one the ...
Noosa, Queensland, Australia edtaepn... You'll be hard pressed to find a store (besides big chains like Coles and Myer) that are open later than 6pm Monday - Friday. However, usually Thursday or Friday night is the "late night shopping" when stores stay open until 9ish. Everything usually closes by 5pm or earlier on Saturdays and Sundays. Makes it slightly difficult to do your shopping! I digress. After walking ...
Noosa, Queensland, Australia erinaldo1587... that you can hire a bike for the day and as i have just missed the shuttle i decide to do just that. I grab my mountain bike and head out, its a cloudy morning but warm and I feel quite happy, I even have a bell on the bike which I ring for the hell of it as it sounds funny. I head into noosa and grab some breakfast on the go which I eat near the beach watching the surfers come in. I then head to Noosa National Park which is ...
Noosa, Queensland, Australia clairebr... morning to the beautiful view of the world's #1 voted beach.......my @ss it is! Ok, so maybe it was the rain that dampened my spirits, or was it the other 200 people on the beach who were dressed in matching stinger suits as if they were all off to some Star Trek convention? Who knows! Being true Brits we stuck it out on the beach until our soaked through bones began to shake....come on, this is Australia....it's supposed to be hot and sunny....it never seems to rain ...
Noosa, Queensland, Australia lindsayloub... they really do whoop and clap!). We spent the following day at the zoo, met another girl on the bus who walked round with us. The Zoo was really good. We saw countless animals and caught plenty of talks and shows. The best thing was even though we went on a saturday it was big enough not to seem busy. Highlights included elephant feeding, watching the show in the ...
Noosa, Queensland, Australia tripofalifetime... back in town in a nightclub! We finished the night off walking home with 2 Germans and an Irish guy. We stopped for a break on the footpath half way home and Colin and our Irish friend tried to teach the 2 Germans some Irish. It was very funny. We finally hit the hay about 4 and got woken up twice with 2 false fire alarms going off. So instead of waking up refreshed and eager for our trip to Brisbane the 2 of us woke up pretty wrecked!
Noosa Heads, Australia colandsand... to the tent, crawled in and passed out lol! Day 3 started early again despite the mental hangovers. We got up to find everyone else had already left. Turns out they were up at 4am to got and see the sunrise and miss all the tides! Crazyness. We were planning on waiting till a similar time as the day before, before making a move down to Lake Mackenzie which I was very much looking forward to seeing. Anyway the day started with taking down our tents - not an ...
