... many dogs around so apparently carefully carried all 4 kittens one at a time about 100m up the drive and climbed up to a nook in a large tree. It looks more like a birds nest but if you peep in (with the help of a ladder) you can see the kittens perfectly happy unaware of the drop to the ground.

... 8217;t feel bad that we barely saw Villa Gessell. From what we did see, it did not seem too impressive. We had heard nice things about Mar Chiquita and were intent on spending the day there, which we did. It was a wonderful beach. Val got to run and swim, and quickly overcame her fear of the waves to join Anna and I in the ocean. Unrelenting when I tried to nap, she would constantly drop a sandy tennis ball onto me, no matter how many times I threw it.

... we neared the end of the road on the way back Lucky stopped near a fence with another dog on the opposite side. A car came by, slowed, and the window went down. A man called to Lucky and she left us just as fast as she'd joined us. We walked on by without a chance to say a proper goodbye. She was a great guide and companion for the walk.

... de la Ventana. This time we stopped to see if we could get gas. Fortunately the first people we ran into had gas they were willing to sell us and we were on our way.

By now it was around 7:00 and with gas in our tanks we proceeded to cover the next 70 KM on a very rough dirt road. We were a little worried about how the bikes would hold up, but they did fine and we arrived in the town of Sierra Granda at around 8:30 with our total mileage for the day at 577 KM.
