... swim but the sea was freezing so he didn't stay in long! We also had a sangria demonstration ;). Thursday was a quiet day and Friday morning we went for a horse ride at a surprisingly nice place. Mike even rode in an English saddle like a champ! Saturday we toured around more of the island and Sunday we returned El Ray (sadly!) and hopped on a bus bound for Santa Cruz along with all the dressed up kids headed that way for Carnaval! Now we are in Santa Cruz for a few days until we ...
... at least you get the feel of the city. We stopped in town at an 8 story department store called El Corte Ingles and made our way up the escalators to the top floor where we got a panoramic view of the city and port from the cafeteria. Another coffee and some fried sweet bread, like the ship doesn't feed us enough, and we began walking the city. Once again we found the beautiful fresh market with meats, fruits, olives, nuts, and flowers. ...
Last day but no rush as evening flight. We pack and tidy, make salad rolls for the journey out of left overs! We leave to complete the round trip of the island by heading south to Lis Gigantes. These dramatic cliffs don't disappoint. They are high, black with a sheer drop to the blue ocean. The weather is much warmer in the south, wish I'd put more sunscreen on. Driving along the coast to Puerto de Santiago then a stop for afternoon coffee at Playa de San ...
Luckily it's a fine day with only a few clouds. After the snowfall last Thursday it was to icy to go on Friday, then a one way from south to north over the peak ruled out the weekend which meant today was our only chance. It didn't disappoint! We leave around 11.00 and are on the mountain road by 12.00. It's a very scenic climb with only a few clouds to start with however we stop at a mirador to take photos and the cloud just sweeps in obliterating ...
A relatively early start by 10.00 to arrive in La Laguna in time for the start of the local football match between. La Laguna and Lanzerote. It's in a much larger stadium than last week and the football is of a better standard, a league above, but it lacks the local atmosphere, the result 2-1 to the home side is a fair result. We wander back into town and explore the old capital. It has some fine 18th century buildings set in a perfect grid so flat and easy to follow! We stop ...

Historical Traveler Reviews Victoria Court Los Cristianos
just come back from a great holiday staying in Victoria Court 1, in apartment 6A1. This was on the ground floor facing the pool. it had a large terrace which got the sun most of the day. It was lovely just walking out onto our terrace through the little gate and then going into the pool. We are not as young as we used to be and this apartment was ideal for us. Some apartments had quite a few steps and would be difficult to carry suitcasesup. We found the apartment to be very clean and with all the little touches of home e.g. able to watch tv with BBC 1 & 2 etc. It is very close to several restaurants, although the food was very good in the pool bar, which does a take away too. Close to shops and the beach and the great Sunday market, we will definitely be going again.
Have booked for same time next year that says it all
booked again for same time next year.very nice apartments with all the little extras that make a big difference.extremely pleasant and helpful staff in reception.thanks to the bar staff,i did not cook all week we just took our plates and had take outs from there, excellent.lovely friendly people staying there. nice security guard with a good sense of humour but very efficient.i cannot think of anything bad to say.highly recommended.thanks again for a great holiday.
stayed in apartment 9A1 ground floor near the pool.
Lovely, friendly & relaxed
We travelled with our two children aged 17 months and 3 years.
We had a lovely 2 bedroom apartment facing the pool which was so comfortable, homely & clean. The whole complex is very well looked after and the children's pool was lovely and warm!
Even though it was a fairly quiet complex, we didn't feel worried if the children made noise around the pool - everyone was so friendly and made the children feel welcome.
We would definately go back again.
Good for families
Just returned from a week's stay at VC and echo the positive comments on here. Quiet, no noise from the resort, but within 5/10 mins walk, you reach numerous bars/restaurants etc. Would recommnend.
Loved the Viki2Complex
Just got back from a lovely couple of weeks in No 15 Viki2. Everything was great, the position, the seaview from the balcony, the apartment on the whole and Steve who looks after it and us. we enjoyed ourselves and so did the kids and the pool and poolbar/restaurant were great and good value for money. Also it was walking distance to everything. Can't wait to get back there, thanks to everyone Chris and Mary
Home from home
Victoria Court 2 is an ideal location for anyone looking for a relaxed holiday in wonderful location. You can walk to the sea front in less than 10 minutes and in Los Cristianos you will find some wonderful restaurants. Car hire is cheap too.
This was our 3rd year in a row to VC , We enjoy the relaxed atmosphere, there is no crowding at the poolside, you have your 'space' .
Had a lovely couple of weeks during April this year in Viki Court 2. So handy for all holiday needs and we had a fantastic seaview from our balcony at number 15. The poolbar/restaurant was superb day and night and good value for money. Really can't wait to book for next year. thanks to everyone
Small & Friendly
Been 3 times now over last 6 yrs for 1 week break from kids. Consistently wonderful relaxing place. Location is ideal if you want some peace & quiet away from the main centre and is also great for walking off your evening meal in Los Cristianos.. Rooms are "adequate", no frills - if you want this then pay for it!.. Booking direct with Victoria court has been trouble free. Cafe & Bar on site are friendly well ran & to date problem free. Pool area is great again to relax. Beautiful views over the bay & harbour area from either side of the complex. Double or single bedroomed rooms available.
Stayed in Victoria Court had a great time lots to do even for the over 40's! Try the Dragon Fly in Las Americas and the Monkey Park both after 10pm! Food is great with lots of tapas bars and fresh fish. This Island as it all but we like to do a bit of both.
