... the owner who was pretty crazy to be honest but perfectly nice! We had a combination of soup, ravioli and toast for dinner between us and called it a night. The weather was still pretty miserable the next morning but on the plus side we did have plenty of starburst party mix which was keeping us going on our journey up to Byron bay which was our next stop. We did take the scenic tourist drive from Ballina off the main highway via Lennox head and arrived around lunchtime to the Lord ...

The hail was about the size of a 10 cent piece, and lasted about 5 minutes. What fun. Last night we were promised a fresh southerly change after our 30 degree day with norther lies. ... on the east coast of Australia.
It has hiking trails galore for the adventurous and spectacular
waterfalls. And we did just that! We did some hiking through Mt. Tambourine
Nature Preserve and it is considered a rainforest, so I can check off walking
through a rainforest in Australia off my bucket list! Everywhere you look it is absolutely
    stunning.

That day we also went in to visit some glowworm ...

... weird going out on the balcony and I certainly couldn't look down. We parked the car in the underground garage and that's where it stayed for the next 4 days. Once again we were happy just to walk along the seafront greensward and to swim in the Pacific Ocean. There were both indoor and outdoor pools at the Meriton but they were very busy with families and kids. Broadbeach was very different to Cotton Tree because it was very lively in the evening with lots of bars and restaurants.Just ...
