      ... affected him. It set the scene for the rest of the day. Darren was really not well and as the day wore on the cold took a greater hold of him getting worse and worse. I went on the Harry Potter dragon rollercoaster by myself, and after lunch Darren went on the Simpsons ride with me, but that really ended up being it for the rides. Darren was in no shape to handle the rides.

      The one thing that Darren totally enjoyed was a Blues Brothers ...

      ... trying and splitting the tapas sized portions of new things with Jason.

      The one booth I didn't like was the Refreshment Port. They had pineapple fritters and that's just basically a pineapple ring that's been batter dipped then fried then sprinkled with powdered sugar. Meh. It just tasted exactly like that. I'm not a huge fan of all things battered and fried. I am speaking for myself though. I'm pretty sure Jason is a fan of fried things.

      ... another go on Transformers 3D so we squeezed that in before heading round to Islands of Adventure. We started in Dr Seuss Landing, going on the Cat in the Hat ride before Ollie bought his favourite drink which is only available there, Goose Juice! We had to go back and go on the new Harry Potter ride once before we left. This time though we had to wait a while in the queue, but there is plenty to keep you entertained.       ... good. In between entree and desert we were entertained by a troop of Irish dancers whom Annabel and Tyler joined in with and enjoyed immensely. Nobody in my party could manage a pudding, so I felt it was my duty to have a go on their behalf (I'm good like that). I plumped for the bread and butter pudding which was like eating heaven filled with caramel and cream. I could only manage a few bites but every morsel was a delight that sent me home to my bed in satisfied ...
