This morning we woke up early again to be able to go to the lake. We got there, had a couple of hours to swim and sunbathe and then we left at 2:30. At 3:00 we arrived at the campsite and 15 minutes later we were on our way to white water rafting. The rafting was all the way down the verdon gorge. Max fell out right at the end and there was no access for 30km!! We all thoroughly enjoyed it. For dinner we had pizza (again!) and then went to ...

Today we left Die and arrived at Castellane at a campsite called Le Lavant. The route that we followed was actually part of the Tour De France route! ... and purple stunning) and then onto craggy mountains, hillside towns and finally the gorge. We first headed upwards and along the side of the gorge (scary driving especially with the camper) but then decided once we looked down into the gorge that it would be much more fun being in the gorge in a pedal boat or swimming (like we could see people doing). We headed back down to the entry of the gorge and luckily the pedal boat hire ...

    Jetlagged and homesick, again

A travel blog entry by surrealcereal on Jan 21, 2007

... news, I've decided what I want to be when I grow up...and then changed my mind about three billion more times. A small sample of the careers I've chosen, in no particular order: 1. Famous actress (Key word: famous. How else am I going to put food on the table?) 2. Linguistics professor 3. Dialect coach/consultant (For famous actors, of course. See #1.) 4. English teacher (10 points if you can name the song I'm thinking of!) 5. ...
