... I felt awful for cutting our trip short, but after 100 days of travel my body had decided it had been pushed too far. Icecave dropped me back at the farm and I walked inside, tail between my legs: the adventurous Skywalker couldn't even hack it 2 days at some hotsprings. When I got inside I was barraged by hugs, then sat down on the couch and forced a hot chocolate. I was so grateful to have a place to bunker down in until I felt better.

... our attention. From the small town, it was a little under 45 minutes in multiple directions from any point of interest. Including Arches National Park, where we had planned to go to while we were in the area. After we had checked into the camp site and set up the tent we asked our camp host what there was to do around here besides Arches. To our surprise he gave us a lot of options. Well we started today with a bonus visit to the Grand Canyon. We didn't know when we started out that the only way to head north from Grand Canyon, AZ was to go back through Grand Canyon National Park. ... It is 9,603 feet above sea level. It was founded by white settlers in 1859 in search of gold. It is now a all season recreation and holiday destination. It has world class ski-ing and in summer offers hiking, bike riding, rock climbing, fishing and kayaking.

It still has a lot of timber historic buildings that now house boutiques, restaurants, cafés and bars. We were surprised to come across a Bubba Gump Shrimp Restaurant.
